Malaysian chilli paste or commonly known as sambal tumis, is one of many, much loved sauces by all Malaysians.
Gluten friendly (may contain traces of gluten)
Onion, dried red chilli, garlic, ginger, white sugar, salt, vegetable oil.
Example Recipe (2 serves):
1 jar of Johor Bharu Sambal Tumis - 300g
2 chicken thighs, skin off, diced (approx. 300g)
1 tbsp veg oil
1 tsp garlic, crushed
1 tsp ginger, grated
Salt to taste
- Mix chicken, garlic and ginger together
- Heat a heavy-based fry pan over medium heat with oil and sear off chicken pieces for 2-3 minutes.
- Add in sambal and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10-15 minutes, over a low heat.
- Serve with basmati rice.
Packed in 300ml glass jar
Refrigerate after opening and consume within 4 weeks
